Basic Top-Down Sweater:Who says sweaters have to be knitted from the bottom up? What if you have extra short or extra long arms? What if you are 7 feet tall? We will use a basic sweater pattern for this great class which will make you comfortable with working out a swatch, fitting the sweater properly and working the all one piece garment from the top down! The sweater can be tried on as you knit, so you know it fits! And, it's quick to knit! Your choice of pullover or cardigan tuyles. Great as a "first sweater" or 50th sweater! Taught by Nancy and Tim. Sweater: This unique-looking
pullover is a flattering fit aof all shapes and sizes, and a great intoduction to the Elizabeth Zimmermann percentage system of sizing a sweater. We'll talk you through the steps and make it easy!. The book Handknitting With Meg Swansen will be our reference. The cost is $45.00. Taught by Tim and Nancy. |

Classic Elizabeth Zimmerman Sweater: Elizabeth Zimmerman almost single-handedly
introduced circular
knitting to this country. Her patterns changed the
way we think about knitting a simplified all tpyes of garmets. This
class
will introduce you to her techniques and
show you how to design and create a sweater to fit using only a gauge swatch
and a
few measurements. The cost is $35.00. Taught by

River: This
wonderful pattern from Ginger Luters' Module Magic is fun, uique, easy modular knitting. It's also fairly quick because you always thin "just one more" square while your're knitting! Pricsilla Johnson will be the guide for the project; she has done LOTS of modular knotting and knows all the tricks to make this a sure-fire success. The bluish sweater was knit with Brown Sheep Cotton Fine yarn and the red sweater was knit with Aracania Lonco yarn carried with a strand of orange Perle Cotton. The cost is $35.00. |
