Nomad Yarn - from Mongolia

We have a limited supply of camel yarn from Mongolia.

The fibers are described in the winter 2007 issue of Wild Fiber Magazine,
and in the Spring 2007 issue of Interweave Knits.

The yarn was spun on drop spindles by nomads in Mongolia. They follow the camel herds as they migrate, pull the fibers off the animals, and spin them.

The spinners are remarkably consistent in that skeins marked with a particular spinner's name or number are consistent in gauge.

The skeins we have are heavy worsted weight.
