Sheep Street Fibers carries a variety of fibers suitable for spinning.  They are
from our flock, from other local sources, and from out-of-state sources.

                                                      Fleeces

We shear our flock each Spring.  Most of them are Shetland
sheep but we  also have a few  Merinos and a few Lincolns.

A number of fleeces left over from the 2011 clip are at a mill being  processed into roving, but images  of eight of last year's clip
are shown  below, along with a lock from each.  Fleeces from  the  2012  clip (except for those purchased by spinners who came
to the shearing days) are available.

                                                           Fibers

Some of the fibers shown below may not be in stock at any given
time, but we usually can suggest a substitute when that happens.

   Shetland Roving

At present we have a supply of cream colored (with some dark threads) Shetland
Roving which was made from our fleeces. In addition, we have gray, dark gray, brown,
and dark brown (nearly black) roving, again from our flock. The colors are all natural.
