Fiber-Related Products from Indiana

Sheep Street Fibers is a source of fiber-related products that are made or
grown in Indiana. This page shows the products we have in stock at present.
A major part of the offerings on this page will be undyed natural fibers from
Indiana sheep.

Sheep Street Wool Yarn

These yarns are commercially spun from Shetland wool from the sheep at Sheep Street Fibers.

The yarn reflects the natural colors of the wool. They are worsted weight, and each skein is 150 yards long.

Supplies are limited, as we send small batches of roving to the mill to be spun into yarn. This ensures that each batch is unique and that garments made from our yarn are unique.

New Yarn

We now carry a new yarn from Indiana-raised Shetland sheep. It is from "Under the Son" farm.

The colors are natural. The white and brown skeins are sport weight and are 200 yards long. The gray skeins are worsted weight and are 150 yards long.

Indiana Woolen Project

These fine quality natural-colored yarns were made from various breeds of sheep, all raised in Indiana. Purchase of these yarns helps support the Sheep and Wool Growers of Indiana.

A worsted weight yarn.

Natural Colors

Each 4 oz skein is approximately 225 yds long.

Handspun Yarns

We have a limited amount of undyed, handspun yarn from our own sheep (Shetlands
and Shetland crosses). It makes incredibly warm garments for winterwear.

Fleeces and Roving

We have in stock approximately 100 fleeces from our sheep and a good deal of roving, also from our sheep. (Shetlands and Shetland Crosses). Stop by the shop to see what is available.
